Mediterranean garden

We are Mediterranean. Territory and climate define our identity and many of our features, and the same is true for vegetation. What better garden for our outdoor spaces than one that is fully adapted to its surroundings?

Why do we prefer the Mediterranean style garden?

The Mediterranean style involves a series of elements that must be taken into account when designing the garden. It is related both to a certain type of vegetation, which of course has to be indigenous, and to the materials used in the construction and some decorative details.
Trees and plants in a Mediterranean garden will always be more resistant than exotic species, because they will be adapted to the climate and the terrain. What does this mean? They require less water, less maintenance and better meet the needs of the site where they are located.

ELEMENTS OF MEDITERRANEAN STYLE

To create a charming space adapted to the surroundings

What plants are native to our territory? What other elements can we choose to build a typical Mediterranean garden? We give you all the answers.

Ornamental trees

Such as the olive tree, the willow, the purple jacaranda or the Schinus molle or false pepper tree. Trees that emanate an air, an elegance… a particular personality that permeates the entire garden.

Fruit trees

Put a lemon tree, an orange tree, a fig tree or any other native fruit tree in your garden and you will have a Mediterranean garden on top. Plus, you’ll get shade and fruit for the whole family, isn’t that perfect?

Aromatic plant beds

You have a wide range of these plants at your disposal. Among the best known: lavender, rosemary, sage, thyme, oregano, mint, basil and parsley. Which scent do you prefer?

Fun climbing plants

Honeysuckle, bougainvillea and Japanese jasmine will bring colour and fragrance to your garden. Yes, yes, although it is called Japanese and has an Asian origin, it is introduced here and is ideal for the Mediterranean climate.

Steps and paths

We build them with materials also from the Mediterranean area. They can be gravels, marble slabs, irregular slabs of Alcover stone or slate slabs. There is something for everyone.

Earthenware pots and jars

Why made of clay? Because they have a special charm, and for the same reason that they were used by the Greeks and Romans, Mediterranean peoples like us: the clay preserves the freshness of the roots and optimises irrigation water.
